New legislation from the Department for Education now requires all newly qualified childcare practitioners to have paediatric first aid training. Childcare providers can choose to train their staff to hold either the full paediatric first aid or the emergency paediatric first aid certificate. Newly qualified childcare practitioners must complete a relevant first aid qualification within 3 months of starting work. This one day Emergency Paediatric First Aid course meets these requirements.
The course help those attending to understand the types of effective emergency treatment that can be undertaken before professional help arrives, reducing the effects of illness and injury and helping to save someone’s life. The course will cover the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations including: managing an unresponsive casualty, CPR, head and spinal injuries, external bleeding, anaphylaxis and more.

Venue: CVS Building. 62-64 Yorkshire Street, Burnley, Lancs. BB11 3BT
